Connect the clinical cycle to the embryology story.

Reproductive medicine, IVF, donor and surrogate workflows.

THE CLINICAL JOURNEY

Designed around the way
your specialty works.

Linked participants and consent roles → treatment cycle → individual gametes/embryos → transfer and outcome.

01

Register partners/donors/gestational carrier as distinct people with permissioned relationships; capture fertility history, investigations and cycle plan.

02

Coordinate stimulation calendar, prescriptions, serial follicles/hormones, trigger and retrieval timestamps, semen collection and preparation.

03

Embryology workspace tracks oocyte maturity, insemination/ICSI, fertilization, individual embryo observations, biopsy shipment and genetic reports.

04

Record transfer, luteal support plan, cryostorage movements and outcome follow-up; maintain consumable lots and witness events at critical transitions.

Diagnosis coverage and clinical records

Male-factor infertility; ovulatory dysfunction; tubal disease; endometriosis-associated infertility; diminished ovarian reserve; unexplained infertility; fertility preservation indication. Record indication independently of cycle outcome and avoid inferring diagnosis from a single reserve test.

Measurements that give the record meaning
Measurements and the context needed to interpret them
MeasurementUnits / representationClinical context
Follicles by ovarycount; mmIndividual measurements, scan date and cycle day
Endometrial thicknessmmPattern and scan method

AMH and antral follicle countng/mL or pmol/L; countAssay and age context
Semen analysismL; million/mL; %Collection, abstinence interval, method and reference edition
Oocytes/embryoscounts and categorical gradesIndividual IDs, maturity, pronuclei, day/hour and grading system

Equipment and integration plans
  • Time-lapse incubator/EmbryoViewer → authorized embryo-linked exports; EmbryoScope 8 is a candidate, not a verified FertPro connector.
  • Electronic witnessing → patient/cycle/sample identifiers and event acknowledgements; Vitrolife describes an EMR API, requiring contract and validation.
  • Ultrasound, hormone analysers, CASA and laser/biopsy workstations → images/results/procedure records via appropriate vendor interface.

Connections require an approved interface and testing against the installed manufacturer, model and software. Listed equipment is a candidate integration target.

Reporting and meaningful outcomes

Fertilization rate with mature/inseminated denominator explicitly chosen; blastocyst formation by cohort; live birth per initiated cycle and per transfer reported separately with follow-up completeness.

Development scope and clinical validation

Initial scope

Cycle scheduling, monitoring, embryology lineage, witnessing records, transfer and outcome register.

Advanced scope

Time-lapse data, e-witness API, biopsy/genetics and validated multi-clinic reporting.

Example acceptance scenarios

  • A mismatched person, dish or embryo must block the affected electronic transition and create an exception record.
  • A failed interface cannot be marked witnessed; manual witnessing requires the approved fallback process and later reconciliation.
